Welcome to our new Chair of Trustees & a big thank you to Alan Shepherd

CRCC has recently appointed a new Chair of Trustees, with our previous Chair Alan Shepherd standing down after many years of support.

Alan Shepherd has been involved with CRCC and, before that, PCDT for 20 years. A calm and stable voice of knowledge and experience, Alan has provided CRCC with excellent support and guidance over the years. Alan has decided to stand down from being Chair and as a trustee of CRCC. We will miss him greatly and thank him for his support.

In his place, Roger Bush has been voted in unanimously to be our new Chair of Trustees, with Bert Biscoe voted in unanimously as Vice Chair.

Roger has been an Anglican priest in Cornwall for thirty years and has seen at first hand the vibrancy of many of our communities throughout the Duchy.

Roger said:

‘It was a great privilege and pleasure to be elected Chair of the CRCC. I know I am following a tough act: Alan had served the CRCC with enormous distinction for many years, helping to chart the Charity through some difficult times, especially during the Covid period. He leaves the post with our enormous gratitude.’

We are very excited for this new chapter in CRCC’s history and give our thanks to both Roger and Bert in advance of our next steps!
