Worried about keeping warm this winter or hoping to save money on your fuel bills? CRCC is back once again as a Gold Partner for Big Energy Saving Week 2016. It is a joint project between Citizens Advice, Government and voluntary and charitable organisations like Cornwall Rural Community Charity (CRCC).
CRCC knows that energy bills are one of the top financial concerns for households and for the last five years they have been supporting BESW to highlight positive, practical actions that help people take control of bills and save money.
The main message of BESW is to:
CHECK – How to save money on your fuel bills by checking that you’re not paying more than you need to (it’s helpful to bring along your energy bills to one of the events)
SWITCH – Information and guidance on how to switch your energy supplier
SAVE – Ideas and simple steps to make your home more energy efficient
Here’s some examples of the FAQ questions that CRCC are able to help with…
What if you are on a prepayment meter? What if you have a debt? What is collective switching? What grants are available to help people who are struggling? What’s the Winter Fuel Allowance and the Priority Services Register?
