A group of adults and young people with Asperger’s have met up with CRCC’s Mental Health Project staff to discuss how they would like to increase awareness and find out what future development of services and support would make a difference to themselves and others dealing with the same difficulties.
The event will take place at the Hall for Cornwall in the Assembly Room on Friday 3rd April from 9.30am to 12.30pm. The event is open to everyone; there will be lots of useful information available including guest speakers. There is no need to book; please just turn up.
The event, which is being sponsored by NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, is open to anyone with Asperger’s, professionals, carers and anyone else who has an interest and would like to find out more.

This event provides the opportunity to talk to like-minded people who wish to see the situation for people with Asperger’s improved and strengthened here in Cornwall.
Antek Lejk, Director of Partnership Commissioning at NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly said, “I am glad to support this event which will allow an open forum for those with Asperger’s to discuss how they feel services can be best developed to suit their individual needs.
“At NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, we are committed to ensuring that services are developed to reflect the needs of those using them. These discussions should provide invaluable input, and I am looking forward to hearing what this group, their friends, family and carers think.”
