The event will take place at the Hall for Cornwall in the Assembly Room on Friday 3rd April from 9.30am to 12.30pm. The event is open to everyone; there will be lots of useful information available including guest speakers. There is no need to book; please just turn up.
LINk in Cornwall runs quarterly events for people in Cornwall to come along and share their views on what is working and isn’t working well with health and social care services.

Cornwall Rural Community Council (CRCC) is looking for villages with a population of less than 5,000 to enter the Cornwall Village of the Year Competition 2009. Any village which has a strong sense of community spirit is encouraged to enter. Entries are invited from any organisation within a village. Entry forms must be received by 29th May, 2009.
Young Carers in Cornwall hold their third Conference, named by the young carers themselves; Shooting Stars – Our Future? , on Thursday 29th January
Carers Rights Day is on Friday, 5 December. The aims of this day are to increase carers’ take up of benefits, inform them of their rights and raise awareness of the needs of carers.
CRCC supported the Starting Out Project and the good news is that they have been successful and would like to thank everyone who supported them.
This year, the Carer’s Carol Service will be held in Truro Methodist Church on Monday 1st December at 2pm.
Cornwall Rural Community Council (CRCC) held the first ever Community Interest Companies (CIC) workshop in Cornwall on 11th September 2008. The event was attended by the national CIC Regulator Sara Burgess and representatives from 35 organisations.

‘Social Enterprise in Cornwall’ is a new 30 page guide published by Cornwall Rural Community Council with 14 local case studies and an explanation of what social enterprises are, how to go about establishing one and where to get more help.

The Cornwall Rural Community Council’s (CRCC) Young Carers Project celebrates its 10th anniversary this year with a sky jump.
This summarised report has been produced as a result of a User Needs and Evaluation Survey, plus Stakeholder telephone interviews that CRCC undertook towards the end of 2006.
This is a unique opportunity to gain new skills, receive training and provide a listening ear to those in distress, whilst working in the comfort of your own home.
