The Cornwall County Playing Fields Association (CCPFA) which is administered by the Cornwall Rural Community Council has just launched a new play improvements award scheme, and is encouraging communities with innovative playground projects to apply.

In total there is £60,000 up for grabs - six awards of £10,000 for play projects across Cornwall. Sharon Davey, Secretary of the CCPFA, said "We are thrilled to be able to support play facilities for our Cornish communities through this scheme, we believe that the continued decline in the availability and quality of outdoor community facilities is detrimental to us all”.
