This service assists with capacity building in the adult social care sector, by helping the development of voluntary and community organisations that support vulnerable adults and their carers. This service includes, promoting partnership working; seeking ways to avoid duplication and unnecessary competition; sharing best practice; as well as raising standards through training and improvements in governance. This service works with disadvantaged young people in north and east Cornwall who have the least opportunity to reach their potential and are in danger from exclusion from mainstream activities such as work, education, training social activities and family and community life. It also provides support to the Cornwall Independent Poverty Forum and the Black and Minority Ethnic community. More Information
