Cornwall Rural Community Council now offer an ICT support service to charities and voluntary groups.
What we can do...
Carry out audits on existing hardware and software, suggesting improvements in specification, if and where required.
Provide evaluations and expert advice on user support and training needs.
Assist in the provision of third party training, to aid in the achievement of self-sufficiency.
Help and advise groups/organisations on the acquisition of the correct hardware and software, based on a ‘best value for money’ basis, ensuring that charitable discounts, where applicable, are taken up.
Ensure that the correct equipment and software is supplied, including essential supplies, fittings and services.
Assist with the installation, testing and integration of new equipment and software.
Advise on appropriate security and regular back-up facilities.
Ensure that virus protection is adequate and that there is a regular virus protection update mechanism.
Provide ongoing technical advice either in person, via e-mail or on the phone.
Offer a ‘hands on’ approach to aid practical assistance and provide ‘troubleshooting’ support.
Help with the development and maintenance of ICT systems, such as e-mails, internet usage, intranets, computerised databases and applications, which will aid efficiency and organisational effectiveness.
Advise groups/organisations in regard to technological change, highlighting positive impacts and organisational improvements.
Help with the creation, improvement and maintenance of websites/signpost to where the best advice and help can be found.
