CRCC Celebrating 65 Years


Young People Take Over The Council Chamber
Run as part of Take Part Cornwall, the event was held on November 14th at Cornwall Council’s Chamber giving young people aged between 7 and 21 the chance to debate issues high on their agenda. Issues discussed included access to leisure facilities, transport, bullying, support for young carers, the environment and much more. In attendance along with the young people were CRCC staff, Cornwall, Parish and Town Councillors, Cornwall Council staff, young people representatives including teachers and parents.


Social Enterprise in Cornwall
Social enterprises are profit-making businesses set up to tackle a social or environmental need; they are ‘more than profit’ organisations. The latest round of investment for Cornwall’s business infrastructure includes programmes that are targeting Cornish social enterprises through developing their capacity and encouraging their growth through a selection of projects and funding.

Memory Cafe’s help refresh and reweave the relationships bewtween people suffering with memory loss and their carers.

Link in Cornwall Dementia Information Event
LINk in Cornwall held an dementia information day to bring together the statutory agencies and voluntary organisations that provide support for people with dementia in Cornwall. The day had seminar presentations in the morning and an information fair in the afternoon where people could find out more about and talk to the services who presented in the morning. The film also contains key contact details for services providing support for those with dementia in Cornwall.
