The Community Planning Team offer a free advisory and support service on community consultation to parish councils and community groups.
We can attend meetings, offering guidance and providing advice on topics such as questionnaire format, ways to increase survey response rates, publicising consultation events and how to get people involved. We can also help groups link-up with other organisations that may be able to assist them with projects.
The team can also be contracted to undertake specific pieces of work (although you will need to contact them to check staff availability, costs, timescales etc) including report writing, database design/data inputting/data analysis and facilitating events etc. A member of the Community Planning team will be able to advise your group on what elements of support are part of the free advisory service and what elements would incur charges.
