Isn’t this just one more worker coming up my garden path?

Yes! But the Carers Support Worker is there to support YOU as a Carer. You may often feel that your needs are overlooked or that no-one has time to listen to you. Our role is to ensure that you get the help, support and information and advice that you need and deserve.

Is this service confidential?

Yes, absolutely. We may ask your permission to give feedback to your GP or other Healthcare Professionals involved in your care. This information will help your GP to better understand your situation. The Government are also keen that GP practices keep a record of those who have a caring role so that you can be offered a better and more sensitive service. We will always ask your permission to do this.
