Mission Statement

Calor Village Of the Year 2010CRCC’s mission is to enable Cornish communities to be vibrant, sustainable and inclusive.

Vibrant – A community that has a local voice, a good quality of life and one that is addressing deprivation and supporting its local culture.

Sustainable – A community that is striving to be sustainable in terms of food, farming, energy, people, jobs, and homes.

Inclusive – A community that can fully participate in life through good health and the accessibility and affordability of services.

Methods

The way in which the CRCC will deliver its mission is through enabling the communities that it supports. This enabling will be achieved by:

  • Direct support to communities and the signposting of other services to them
  • Acting on behalf of local communities lobbying for them at a local and national level
  • Conducting research and survey work for and with communities, identifying and evidencing their needs.

Aim

To enable our vision CRCC has a series of strategic aims. These aims will change over time. However, within the changing world that we operate, the aim will always lead, via our vision, to our overarching mission.

Measures

It is difficult to quantify success in delivery of our mission. However, our strategic measure will to a great extent be realised, if, by 2015 we have enabled the creation, directly or indirectly, of employment of at least two people per parish. Our service/ project measures are detailed in our business plan.
