Vital Venues helps Cornish Community Halls save thousands

Vital Venues has helped local Community Halls to save large sums of money on utilities, insurance and a range of other items.

The new scheme from Cornwall Rural Community Council provides a package of financial discounts as well as management advice and other benefits for groups responsible for local facilities such as village halls, community centres, church halls and other community buildings.

Members are really pleased with the service and support offered.  Beryl Martin of Linkinhorne Parish Hall, who recently received support to save over £1,000 on running costs said,

“We have had more than our money’s worth from Vital Venues and feel it offers a good service.  We value having an authoritative source to assist with our hall management issues.”

Other members have reported similar success with the scheme.

Jon Teague, Vital Venues coordinator, said

“I am thrilled that Vital Venues is delivering all these benefits to halls across Cornwall, especially when times are hard for smaller groups and charities.  It shows that by working together we can ensure these facilities continue to provide a vital service in their communities.”

To introduce the scheme, a Roadshow is going out across Cornwall.
